The DARP Platform Education Series - “Campaigns & Elections”
The Dona Ana County Republican Party (“DARP”) is proud to announce its Platform Education Series. DARP will attempt to host speaking events each month tailored to a specific theme related to the New Mexico Republican Party’s platform. DARP wants to reach out, educate, and energize all Republicans so we can affect our community for the better.

The theme for October is “Campaigns & Elections.”

Why? Because this is what is all comes down to! DARP has dedicated the month of October to campaign & election efforts, but of course this should come as no surprise. Whether it be a Federal or statewide election, a local race or even a special program during an off year, we know Republicans are committed to electing candidates who understand the principles of sound money, fiscal responsibility and personal freedom. In addition to the importance of promoting a sound limited government philosophy, the success of our party depends greatly on our ability to WIN!

And we have a great speaker for this event! New Mexico Secretary of State, Dianna Duran.

The Secretary of State is charged with ensuring the conduct of efficient, fair and secure elections, maintaining records vital to commerce and industry, and supervising the reporting of campaign finances by political candidates and committees.

As a New Mexico State Senator, Dianna led efforts to update the election code, and modernize and reform the electoral process. She pursued ways to cut wasteful spending and streamline government, eliminate “red tape” and support small business growth, preserve our water resources and improve educational achievement.  Dianna Duran has continued her service to the electoral process as Secretary of State when she was elected  in November of 2010. She is the first Republican elected to that office since 1928.

Please make it a priority to attend and educate yourselves on how you can make an impact for fair elections right here in Dona Ana County!

Dianna Duran will speak Friday, October 25, 2013 at Andele’s Banquet Room, located at 1950 Calle Del Norte, Mesilla at 7:00 p.m.  For those that wish to talk with our speaker beforehand, dinner will be catered by Andele’s an hour before at 6:00 p.m.  The cost is $10.00.   A question and answer session will follow our speakers’ presentation.  Please RSVP with Jayme Wallis at jaymewallis@hotmail.com or call her at 575-640-7223 by October 23rd as seating will be limited.
